Four Things You Should Know About Lab Created Diamonds
A perfect diamond piece should be pure, bright, with a clean history that cannot be questioned from origin to acquisition. If you were only familiar with the Natural diamond up until now, behold – for this is the day you’d meet its perfect alternative – the Lab created diamonds.
As their name suggests, Lab Created Diamonds are manufactured in laboratories under conditions that perfectly mimic the natural diamond-forming process. Lab Grown Diamonds have similar physical, chemical, and optical properties as mined diamonds. In fact, even industry experts can’t tell them apart without the aid of special equipment that scans for crystal patterns and impurities. They are technically natural diamonds without impurities, environmental degradation, and uncertainties. There are numerous reasons why lab made diamonds are a suitable replacement for natural diamonds. Here are a few of them:
Greater purity and improved quality
Say hello to the brighter twin!
Lab Grown Diamonds are purer than their natural counterparts due to the absence of impurities and dirt found in mined diamonds. They also have fewer blemishes since they were carefully prepared under favorable conditions. Hence, they are brighter and better than mined diamonds. Lab engineered diamonds are certified, giving you important information on Cut, Clarity, Carat Weight, and more.

Guaranteed Origins
Often, a detailed journey path cannot be drawn for mined diamonds as the specific origin can be vague. We at Camellia Jewelry use only with conflict-free diamonds, but unfortunately, while shopping elsewhere, some diamonds have dark backgrounds, coming from conflict regions where they’ve been sold to fund war and promote chaos. But, the journey of lab-created diamonds from origin to acquisition can be known. Therefore, the only way to ascertain the origin of your diamonds is to purchase synthetic diamonds.
Affordable Diamond Jewelry
Lab made diamonds are not only purer than their natural counterparts but are also more affordable. Costing less than half the price of mined diamonds, they also come in a variety of natural-diamond colors, such as pink! This means you can really buy the ring of your dreams without having to compromise on the budget.
Environmentally-Friendly
Mining natural diamonds can damage the earth extensively. Diamond mines are some of the largest holes ever dug in the earth as enormous amounts of fossil fuels with heavy machinery are required to extract the gemstones. The Mirny Diamond Mine, the second largest hole in the earth, is almost a mile wide in diameter and about 525 meters deep. Lab diamonds, on the other hand, present none of these issues. With man-made diamonds, you could rock your diamond pieces and have Mother Nature smiling at you all day for conserving her resources.
With CVD diamonds, you can never go wrong. You have a natural diamond in its purer, brighter, Eco-friendly, and sustainable form for less than half its price. Synthetic diamonds are a girl’s better friends!
Wedding Rings Pairing Guide
Finding the perfect engagement ring is not a simple choice, we know. There are so many styles and options to choose from, and we are going to add another consideration to your purchase – the wedding ring pairing. Since the engagement ring will typically only be worn alone for relatively a few months, it’s a good idea to consider the style of band you or your partner will want at the same time as you purchase your engagement ring.
Whether you want to create a matching or contrasting pairing, there are a few things to consider when selecting the perfect band. These include the thickness of the band, the type of metal, and also the setting. Most importantly, you will want to choose a style that uniquely reflects your partner’s or your own individuality. Here are some pointers for when the time comes to pair the ring of your dreams with that forever band of your choice:
Matching Vs. Unique Bands
Will there be occasions where you will have to leave your engagement ring at home and just wear your wedding band? If so be sure to choose a wedding band that is substantial enough to still be its one-man (or better, one-ring) show, and which is not a nesting ring.
Wedding Bands Shapes
Choose a band that will go the shape of your engagement ring and cuts. Solitaire diamonds can easily be paired with any band, but if you go with pear or emerald be sure to find a band that fits under or can work around the setting.
Stacking Bands
These are a gorgeous alternative to a single band. Rather than choosing one large band, brides can choose multiple smaller bands that enhance the engagement ring. This can be extra fun if throughout the years you’d like to collect stackable bands for future anniversary presents 😉
Nesting
This lovely technique is designed to go around your engagement ring and complement it by making it look MUCH bigger.
Soldering
Soldering is the process by which two metal items become joined together through melting down and adding a filler metal—or solder—into the joint between the two. If you plan on wearing both your rings together all the time, you should definitely consider getting them soldered together.

3 ways to propose this 4th of July
4th of July is one of the largest celebrations of the summer season, combining romance and fireworks (and food and drinks!). Independence Day festivities are a way to show your love not only for your country but for your special someone.
Say it with food
A 4th of July BBQ with your closest friends and family is a great way to propose, being surrounded by loved ones. Spell love words using hotdogs; add a proposal text at the bottom of the beer glass; drop to one knee in front of everyone or propose a toast, and then asking for her hand in marriage and ask his or her hand in marriage.
(Glass by Vinegar and Brown Paper – you HAVE to see their creations!)
Say it with your dog
Your furry friends can be part of the magical moment too – have your dog carry a “marry my dad” sign, hold the ring box or bring in a puppy! We find dogs the best pet to perform this, but you can always surprise your loved one with a cat, iguana, or pet pig.
Say it with fireworks
Make sure you have a great spot to both enjoy the fireworks, while not being run over by the crowd – otherwise bending on one knee will just get you stepped on by someone else. The romantic silhouette of you on bended knee and the bright popping fireworks is pretty romantic (ask a friend to join and take a picture!)

How to Take the Perfect Ring-Selfie?
Congratulation on your first “YES”! But engagement tears aside, how are you going to let the world know he proposed? Check out the guide below on how to take the perfect ring-selfie. Selfie it now or it doesn’t exist!
In today’s world, it didn’t happen if you don’t have the photo proof plastered all over your social media. You don’t have to be a professional to take good photos, but you can spruce up your artistic side with these tips and have fun doing it.
Even if you’re not a fan of pouty lips selfie or the bathroom mirror ones, the ring selfie is for everybody. Once the years pass, you’ll look at this photo and cherish the calm before the storm of organizing the BIG DAY.
Top 10 tips to take the perfect engagement ring photo
1. It’s all about the lighting to get that sparkle right. No matter what type of ring you have, place your hand in front of the window and take advantage of the natural light.
2. The wrong light can also cause havoc, so avoid artificial ones coming directly at it, like a flash, because you’ll get too much sparkle or shadows and not enough clarity.
3. If you’re afraid you’re not getting a clear shot because of shaky hands, make sure the ring and the camera lens are clean. Tap the screen to focus it and then use the earbuds button to click the shot.
4. Another idea is to use a tripod and avoid timer as it usually delivers blurriness no matter if you’re using your phone or a professional camera.
5. On the beauty side, make sure you have the perfect manicure on – you can take a few days to get it all right – and your skin smooth and shiny.
6. If you just don’t have the patience for this, improvise. For example, you can hold hands with your partner or hold a mug that will hide your nails. Do moisturize the skin.
7. You might also get some hairy problems. When you shoot straight, your hand hairs will stand out. To avoid this, relax your hand on your leg, a prop like a chair or even a bag, or your partner’s hand.
8. Don’t be afraid to accessorize the look with other staked rings or bracelets, or a long-sleeved sweater.
9. The background is also important. You can go with flowers, a pillow, your laptop or even skyscrapers. Take your time, because it will be worth it.
10. Some apps you might consider to crop and edit your photo are Snapseed, Whitegram and LD. And if you want more movement, you can’t go wrong with a live photo passed through ImgPlay, or Boomerang.
You have the perfect man, the perfect ring and now the perfect engagement ring-selfie will follow!
Why Lab Grown Diamonds Are Perfect For Eco-Warriors
As well as providing a more affordable alternative to your favorite stones, LGD rings, or lab grown diamond rings, also have a more ethical ethos to them, perfect for those of you that are more environmentally-conscious. Nowadays, people pay more attention to where their purchases come from, and with jewelry, it’s no different…
Lab grown diamonds allow you to have real diamonds at a lower cost, and can cost up to 40% less than naturally sourced diamonds. Labs imitate the natural growing process to produce our favorite stones and achieve spot-on diamonds, chemically and in appearance. The goal is to slowly lower the amount of diamond mining that is going on in the world, which is extremely destructive towards the environment. The less diamonds they find in the mines, the deeper they dig into the earth, which will lead to the destruction of ecosystems and of course, wild habitats. Lab grown diamonds are an alternative which still remains a diamond, you cannot tell the difference between the two!
Diamond mining also effects people – though blood diamonds are rarer nowadays, the industry has dealt with an important number of issues concerning this in the past, and it’s not totally inexistent today, particularly in Africa. Lab grown diamonds allow to slow down this industry and halts opportunities for blood diamonds, and will hopefully in the future provide a safer environment for diamond miners and their families. Despite the Kimberley Process put into place in the Noughties, brands still promoting diamond mining claim to be “conflict-free” although they have no solid evidence of this. Lab free diamonds are the only conflict-free stones.
Today, lab grown diamonds are immensely popular for their message – being eco-friendly and conflict-free. Celebrities such as Megan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, has recently been seen wearing a pair of lab grown diamond earrings, to continue in her eco-friendly fashion, whilst Vogue covered the topic of lab grown diamonds at the end of 2018 – it’s becoming a trend, and not just a temporary one.

Engagement Rings with Hollywood Charm
Marriages come and go, but engagement rings are forever…at least in Hollywood. If you’re looking for a piece worthy of the big screen and glamorous celebrities, look no further than the top 5 from our store.
A Hollywood charm is something that mesmerizes you, makes you wonder and lust over precious materials. A diamond is a girl’s best friend, but so are other stones, one more playful than the next. Elizabeth Taylor’s 33-carat diamond from Richard Burton and Kim Kardashian’s 15-carat diamond from Kanye West are two examples of engagement rings that have made history. But you can make your own story cinema-worthy with the unique models below.
How to choose the perfect engagement ring
- Pay attention to what your lady wants, she will give you hints, or at least investigate something that she likes. Is she into flowers, a special color, does she have beautiful eyes that you can find a green or blue stone to match it?
- The perfect engagement ring must match your life – you can wear a 30-carat diamond ring if you’re a celebrity, with bodyguards, but you can’t wear complex models in your day to day life. So, if your fiancé wants something easy to wear, opt for modern, simple, models.
- If you know she isn’t into accessories, don’t make the engagement ring a big deal, better invest in a band she will cherish. If she is looking for you to splurge, invest in a quality diamond, a simple cut and setting.

You have to find spectacular shoes to go with your spell-binding dress, and these satin-like strappy heels are the perfect solution. If incorporating blue into your wedding is a complicated concept, then why not opt for a blue bouquet.
